These terms apply when you use getsacc.com and when you use software, subscriptions or support from SACC Software Limited ("SACC"). Where you have a signed agreement or licence with SACC, that agreement takes precedence over these terms.
About these terms
By using the website or a SACC product you accept these terms. If you use a product on behalf of a business, you confirm you may accept them for that business.
Using the website
- Use the website lawfully and do not try to disrupt it, gain unauthorised access or misuse its forms.
- Information on the website, including product descriptions and prices, is a general guide. A quotation, invoice or agreement from SACC states what applies to you.
- Links to other websites are for convenience; SACC is not responsible for their content.
Software, licences and subscriptions
- SACC software is licensed, not sold. A licence covers the product, edition, users or workspaces stated on it.
- Subscriptions run for the period paid for and renew when the next payment is made. If a subscription is not renewed, access may be limited after notice and a grace period.
- Perpetual licences for installed (on-premise) software do not expire, but updates and support depend on an active support plan.
- You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or remove the licence controls from SACC software.
Prices and payments
- Prices are in Uganda shillings and exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
- Payments can be made by mobile money, card or bank, including through the Pay page. Card and mobile money payments are processed by licensed payment providers; SACC does not store your card details.
- SACC issues a receipt for every payment received.
Your data
- You own the data you enter into SACC software and you are responsible for it: its accuracy, having the right to collect and keep it, and meeting the law that applies to it, including tax and data protection law.
- SACC processes your data only to provide, support and secure the service, and on your instructions.
- A hosted service keeps your data for as long as your subscription is active. Keep your own copies through the exports and backups the software provides; SACC's own backups protect the service and are not a substitute for yours.
- When a subscription ends, your data stays available for export for 30 days and is then permanently deleted.
Your responsibilities
- Keep user names and passwords confidential, decide who has access, and remove access when someone leaves. Everything done under your accounts is your responsibility.
- You are responsible for your books, invoices, tax returns and payroll, including the content and timing of invoices fiscalised with URA through ERP2.0 Connect or another SACC product. Check reports and figures before relying on them.
- For installed software, keep the computer, network, licences and backups SACC recommends in place.
- Use the software lawfully, and only for the business it is licensed to.
Support
Support is available by phone, WhatsApp and e-mail, Monday to Friday 8:00–5:00 and Saturday 8:00–2:00, except public holidays. Response times and on-site support are as stated in your support plan or agreement.
Ownership
SACC owns its software, documentation, names and logos. Your business data remains yours; SACC uses it only to provide and support the service you have chosen.
Services SACC depends on
Some features rely on others, such as URA's EFRIS, mobile network operators, payment providers, SMS gateways and internet connectivity. SACC is not responsible for their outages, but will help you work around them where it can.
Liability
- The software and website are provided as they are and as available. SACC does not promise they will be uninterrupted or error-free, or suit a particular purpose beyond what your agreement states.
- SACC is not liable for loss or corruption of data, lost profit, revenue or business, tax penalties or interest, fines, or any indirect or consequential loss, however caused.
- SACC is not liable for decisions made on the basis of reports, or for problems caused by your data, your equipment, your connectivity, or services SACC does not control.
- Where SACC is liable, its total liability for all claims is limited to the fees you paid for the service concerned in the three months before the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud.
Indemnity
You will compensate SACC for claims, losses and costs that arise from your data, from how you or your users use the software, or from a breach of these terms or of the law by you.
Ending a service
You may stop using a service at the end of a paid period. SACC may suspend or end a service after notice if these terms or your agreement are breached, or if payment remains outstanding. Export your data before a hosted service ends: it is available for 30 days afterwards and then deleted.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, and the courts of Uganda have jurisdiction. SACC may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
